Scawthorpe Athletic 2 – 0 AFC Royal

Scawthorpe Athletic retain the Doncaster Champions Cup after beating AFC Royal by 2 goals to nil at The Keepmoat Stadium, home of Doncaster Rovers.

A cagey start by both teams but the game changed when AFC Royal had a man sent off midway through the first half. Lewis Tinsley bringing down Sam Corner. Athletic’s Brad Cooper scored the opening goal from the resulting free kick.

1-0 at half time. Athletic piled on the pressure in the second half and were eventually rewarded with a close range headed goal from Andy McCreadie.
